Who we are
Pyongyang Travel is a travel agent licensed to resell and promote Korea International Travel Company (KITC) travel to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). All tours are designed, managed and operated only by KITC.
The subject of data protection is your personal data. In accordance with Article 4 No. 1 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), these are all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Use of your personal data
We assure you that we protect your data from unauthorized access by third parties and that we do not use them for any other purposes than those listed below.
If you contact us by phone, e-mail or mail for the purpose of a travel offer, we use your specified telephone number, address or email address to provide you with a travel offer
When booking a trip we need your personal information, such as: First and last name, complete address, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address, name of the employer, details of the professional sector, address of the employer and telephone number of the employer. The collection, processing and use of your personal data complies with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be stored exclusively on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA) and only as long as required by law.
Your personal data will be forwarded to Korea International Travel Company (KITC) and Air Koryo to book your trip. These forward your data to the DPRK embassies in Beijing and Berlin so that your DPRK visa or entry visa can be issued. After the trip, we use your email address to send you a feedback email.
We assure you that we use this information only for booking your travel / application for your North Korea visa. We process the data according to the existing legal regulations with the highest degree of confidentiality.
Get feedback after the trip
After the trip, we usually send you a feedback email to check the quality of the travel we offer. In the e-mail we ask you to briefly describe your travel impressions. We use your feedback only with your permission and, if desired, anonymized on our website. Furthermore, we may forward your feedback to the North Korean tour operator KITC in case it contains suggestions for improvement.
We also use third-party analytics tools based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

PYT may send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (hereinafter referred to as the “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipient.
