Introduction
 
In the following, the terms “we”, “us” or “ours” refer to Pyongyang Travel (owner André Wittig, Marchlewskistraße 95, D-10243 Berlin) while “you”, “your” or “you” relate to the rights and obligations of the customer or the requester. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is synonymously called “DPRK”. “KITC” refers to the tour operator, the Korea International Travel Company. “PYT” refers to Pyongyang Travel.

 

Who we are
 
Pyongyang Travel is a travel agent licensed to resell and promote Korea International Travel Company (KITC) travel to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). All tours are designed, managed and operated only by KITC.

 

The subject of data protection is your personal data. In accordance with Article 4 No. 1 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), these are all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Below we inform you about the use and collection of your personal data. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@pyongyang-travel.com.

 

Use of your personal data
 
We assure you that we protect your data from unauthorized access by third parties and that we do not use them for any other purposes than those listed below.

 

Arranging travel
 
If you contact us by phone, e-mail or mail for the purpose of a travel offer, we use your specified telephone number, address or email address to provide you with a travel offer

 

Booking travel
 
When booking a trip we need your personal information, such as: First and last name, complete address, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address, name of the employer, details of the professional sector, address of the employer and telephone number of the employer. The collection, processing and use of your personal data complies with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be stored exclusively on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA) and only as long as required by law.

 

Your personal data will be forwarded to Korea International Travel Company (KITC) and Air Koryo to book your trip. These forward your data to the DPRK embassies in Beijing and Berlin so that your DPRK visa or entry visa can be issued. After the trip, we use your email address to send you a feedback email.

 

We assure you that we use this information only for booking your travel / application for your North Korea visa. We process the data according to the existing legal regulations with the highest degree of confidentiality.

 

Get feedback after the trip
 
After the trip, we usually send you a feedback email to check the quality of the travel we offer. In the e-mail we ask you to briefly describe your travel impressions. We use your feedback only with your permission and, if desired, anonymized on our website. Furthermore, we may forward your feedback to the North Korean tour operator KITC in case it contains suggestions for improvement.

 

Website
 
When you visit our website, you may visit it anonymously, however, details of your visits to our website, such as IP addresses, may be saved for a limited time to collect anonymous statistics about the behavior of visitors to the site. An evaluation or use of this personal data takes place for no other purpose. Our website may contain links to websites of other providers, to which this privacy policy does not extend.

Cookies are used to store information associated with a website locally on the computer for some time and to re-transmit it to the server upon request. This allows the user to customize the website for themselves, eg. the language and font size or the design of the website in general.   • Referrer URL (the previously visited page),

are usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there. The IP address provided by Google Analytics as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. We have also extended the code “anonymizeIP” on this website to Google Analytics. This guarantees the masking of your IP address so that all data is collected anonymously. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
 
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator. Newsletter
 
PYT may send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (hereinafter referred to as the “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipient. Insofar as the contents of a newsletter are concretely described, they are authoritative for the consent of the users.
 
Double opt-in and logging: Registration for our newsletter is done in a so-called double-opt-in procedure. That After registration, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register with external e-mail addresses.
