Holiday in North Korea with your private tour


You can create your very own tour program, even if you want to travel alone as a single traveler. It’s your decision how long you stay in the country, which cities and regions you want to see and which hotels you want to sleep in (certain restrictions to cities, regions, hotel and places within cities do apply). During your stay you will be accompanied by your exclusive North Korean tour guides, usually a man and a woman. Private tours offer maximum flexibility more opportunities to complement or change your itinerary on the spot according to your spontaneous desires.

In Pyongyang the choice of accommodation for most private travellers is the Koryo Hotel or the Yanggakdo Hotel. Both are among the most famous and certainly the most comfortable hotels for international guests. Your itinerary will be as much as possible tailored to your whishes. We do assist you with recommendations about those places in each cities which are open to tourists and worth seeing. Simply breathtaking and a must see are the monuments of Pyongyang. Also, a visit to the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) at the border to South Korea is usually included in most private itineraries. For a surcharge it is also possible to book a seat on a domestic flight to Mt. Paekdu or on a scenic sightseeing flight over Pyongyang. If no domestic flights are available, there is still the chance to charter your own private aircraft. Furthermore there exists the possibility to charter trams or trolleybuses for sightseeing rides through Pyongyang. It is now also possible to visit both lines and all stations of the Pyongyang Metro.


Most customers chose the national airline of the DPRK, Air Koryo, for their flights between Pyongyang and Beijing. All customers have to enter and leave via China. If you don’t want to fly, there still exists the possibility to use and international train from Beijing or Dandong. Your entry and exit from Beijing to Pyongyang and back, carried with Air Koryo.
